Are there items that RMOA won’t sell on eBay?

Sure.  Even though the eBay marketplace offers the chance to buy and sell a vast array of items, there are still categories of products or select items that are prohibited or restricted.  RMOA strictly follows eBay’s policies and will decline to list items that do not meet their criteria.  If you have a question about a specific item, just ask.

How long does it take to get a listing prepared to start?

The process of getting a market analysis and preparing a listing proposal can usually be done within a few hours.  After the contract is finalized, a typical listing can be prepared and scheduled to start in as little as 1 or 2 days, but most are scheduled to take the best advantage of prime eBay shopping hours.

What if I want to sell a whole bunch of things at once?

One listing can include multiple items – such a collection of vintage toys sold as a “lot” or a set of china that includes a selection of various pieces.  Sometimes it’s advantageous to sell things in multiple listings, however, and we’ll let you know if the market analysis seems to suggest this is a better method.

There is no limit to how many listings you can run using our Trading Assistant or Store Assistant Services.  In fact, with our Trading Assistant service we combine the value of all sales that close on the same day in order to determine the applicable commissions rate for those sales.  This can be a valuable cost savings for our Trading Assistant customers to list multiple items concurrently.

How quickly are funds available after an auction ends?

Once an auction is complete, RMOA supplies the eBay buyer with an online invoice so they can quickly and easily complete their purchase.  We can accept instant bank transfers and credit card payments online (via PayPal), but some customers may elect to pay with cashier’s checks, money orders or personal checks sent through the mail.

The selected method of payment is often the primary determining factor in how long it takes for a transaction to complete.  Funds are distributed to clients as soon as shipping takes place.  This is often 1-3 days after the auction has ended, but could take longer.  Most items are shipped within one week of the end of the auction.

What happens if my item doesn’t sell?

Because of our careful analysis of the market before listing items on eBay, RMOA has an excellent sales record.  Still, it is certainly possible for auctions to end without a buyer.  When this happens, we help clients to evaluate the listing for possible relisting.  Changes can be made, if desired and if the item sells during a relist, 75% of the relisting fee is refunded.

How does RMOA avoid online fraud?

There is no doubt that online fraud is serious problem – and not just on eBay.  Our experience has taught us how to avoid the common tactics that comprise the majority of problems associated with online commerce.  In addition, eBay and PayPal (the world’s largest online payment system) employ the strictest safeguards available.  RMOA also has strict selling policies that are designed to protect against fraudulent transactions.

When a client hires RMOA to sell their item on eBay, they can be assured that our professional integrity and our strict sales policies will be behind every transaction and, if fraud should occur, we will vigorously pursue every appropriate recourse.
